Missed Call Revenue Calculator for Home Services & Practices
Free missed call revenue calculator. Enter your own call numbers to estimate missed calls and the revenue at stake from unanswered calls each month and year.
When the phone rings during a rooftop job, a busy afternoon or at 9 p.m. on a Sunday, someone has to answer it. If no one does, some callers leave a message, some try again later, and some call the next business on their list.
This free Missed Call Revenue Calculator from LiveFixPro turns your own call numbers into an estimate of the revenue at stake from unanswered calls, per week, per month and per year.
It's built for HVAC, plumbing, roofing and other home service businesses, with an option for medical and dental practices. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.
What the calculator asks for
Every input is your own number. Nothing is pre-filled with industry figures.
Business type: HVAC, plumbing, roofing, other home service, or medical or dental practice.
Inbound calls per week and % answered, or simply your missed calls per week if your phone system reports that.
Share of missed calls that come after hours (optional), to see how much of the gap falls outside office hours.
% of answered calls that book a job or visit.
Average job value, or average visit value for practices.
% of missed callers who don't call back. This is your own estimate. Some callers try again; this field lets you allow for that.
For medical and dental practices: do not enter patient information. The calculator only needs business call counts and an average visit value. No names, phone numbers or health details.
What you get back
Estimated missed calls per week, month and year, and how many of them come after hours if you entered that share.
Missed callers who don't call back, based on your estimate.
Potential bookings at stake, using your own booking rate.
Revenue at stake from unanswered calls, per month and per year.
The math is simple and shown on the page: missed calls x % who don't call back x your booking rate x your average value. A month is counted as 52 / 12 weeks. You can print the results.
Where to find your numbers
Your phone system's call log usually shows total, answered and missed calls. Use a few normal weeks. For booking rate and average value, check your job software or invoices. If you have to guess, guess conservatively.
What to check after you run it
The estimate points to where calls are slipping. These are the usual places to look:
After-hours coverage. Who or what answers when the office is closed, on weekends and on holidays?
Voicemail. Is the greeting current? Does it say when you'll call back? Is the mailbox full?
Call-back speed. How soon is each missed call returned, and who owns that job?
Busy times. Are calls missed while technicians are on jobs or the front desk is with customers?
Your call log. Track answered, missed and returned calls week to week, so you can see whether changes are working.
Keep the estimate in perspective
This calculator gives an estimate based on your numbers. It isn't a forecast, and it doesn't say how much of that revenue any change, tool or service would bring back. Some missed callers call again, some would never have booked, and seasons change call volume. Use the result to decide whether missed calls deserve a closer look in your business.

FAQ
How does the missed call revenue calculator work?
It multiplies your missed calls by the share of missed callers you think don't call back, then by your booking rate and your average job or visit value. A month is counted as 52 divided by 12 weeks. All numbers come from you.
Why doesn't the calculator use industry averages?
Call patterns vary a lot by business, location and season, so the calculator only uses the numbers you enter. Your own call log gives a more useful estimate than a general figure.
Can a medical or dental practice use it?
Yes. Choose the medical or dental practice option and enter business call counts and an average visit value only. Do not enter patient information such as names, phone numbers or health details.
Does the calculator store or upload my information?
No. It runs in your browser and doesn't upload or store anything. You can print your results.
Will answering more calls bring back this revenue?
The calculator doesn't predict or promise that. It shows an estimate of revenue at stake from unanswered calls based on your numbers. Actual results depend on your business, your customers and how calls are handled.
