Content Repurposing Tool: Free Planner for Small Business
Use this content repurposing tool to turn one blog post, video or offer into a dated set of post briefs for your chosen channels. Free planner, no upload.
What the planner asks for
• Your core piece (title) and its type: blog post, video, newsletter, service or offer, guide or checklist, or other.
• Key points, one per line, from 2 to 6.
• Link to the piece (optional) and call to action (optional). For example, "Read the full guide."
• Channels. Pick one or more: LinkedIn post, Facebook post, Instagram caption, Google Business Profile post, email newsletter blurb and short video script.
• Start date and days between posts, a whole number from 1 to 30.
What you get back
A table with one row for every key point on every channel you picked. Each row has:
• Post number and date, counted from your start date at the gap you chose
• Channel
• Format idea. For example, "Short story or lesson for professionals" for LinkedIn, or "One point, spoken in under a minute" for a short video script
• Key point
• Starter line, which opens with the key point from your piece, closes with your call to action and includes your link if you gave one
Copy the plan as text, download it as a CSV or print it. In the CSV, any text cell, such as a key point or starter line, that starts with =, +, - or @ (even after a leading space) gets an apostrophe added, so your spreadsheet reads it as text and not a formula.
With 3 key points and 3 channels, for example, you get 9 post briefs on a schedule.
Briefs, not finished posts
The planner gives you a starting point for each post, not the post itself. Write every one in your own words, check your facts and review before you publish.
No platform rules or posting-time advice are built in. Each platform has its own help pages for limits and formats, so check them before you post.
How to choose your key points
• Pull one idea per point. Each should stand on its own.
• Use plain sentences. They become the starter lines.
• Start with what your reader asks. Questions you hear from customers make good key points.
• Keep it to what's true. Stick to what your piece actually says.
Tips for a repurposing plan
• Pick the channels you'll really use. A short plan you follow beats a long one you don't.
• Space posts out. The days-between setting spreads the plan over time.
• Keep your call to action consistent, so each post points to the same next step.
• Reuse the plan. Change the piece and the key points, and build the next one.

FAQ
What is a content repurposing tool?
It maps one piece of content to several posts, each built around a different key point and channel, so one idea can be shared more than once.
Does the planner write my posts?
No. It builds a brief for each post: channel, format idea, key point and a starter line. You write the final wording.
Which channels can I choose?
LinkedIn posts, Facebook posts, Instagram captions, Google Business Profile posts, email newsletter blurbs and short video scripts. Pick as many as you like.
Does it include platform rules or ideal posting times?
No. No platform rules or posting-time advice are built in, so check each platform's own help pages for limits and formats.
Does the tool keep my blog post or ideas?
No. The planner runs in your browser, and what you paste or type is not uploaded or stored.
